PHILLIES TO LEAD OFF OPENING DAY OF BASEBALL AT THE PHILADELPHIA STOCK EXCHANGE ON MONDAY, APRIL 2

PHILADELPHIA – March 26, 2007 –The Phillies will lead-off opening day of the 2007 baseball season on Monday, April 2, at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange when Phillies veteran broadcaster Harry Kalas and two of the organization’s ballgirls, Lindsay Evitts and Jaime Battinieri, will ring the opening bell. Remarks will begin promptly at 9:15 a.m. Photography is permitted on the trading floor.

Later that afternoon the Phillies will face the Atlanta Braves in the Modell’s Sporting Goods Home Opener at 1:05 p.m. at Citizens Bank Park. The sold-out game will be available to viewers on CBS3.

Harry Kalas has been a broadcaster for 44 years and the voice of the Phillies for the past 34 years. In addition to baseball, he currently tapes several programs for NFL Films, broadcasts Westwood One Radio Network football and provides voice-overs for numerous commercials. He has been named Pennsylvania Sportscaster of the Year 18 times (1978, 1980-90, 1992-96; 2002).
